“House price crash? What house price crash?” says Clive Long, who has been investing in residential property for some 30 years and feels very confident about property in Hale. Clive, who has his own prestige house for sale in Hale states: “…it all depends on one of the oldest cliches going…..Location! Location! Location! The location is king, especially in these current economic times.” Clive has a wealth of experience and comments: “With the credit crunch set to stay with us for the foreseeable future, homes that are poorly located or of the wrong type and poorly maintained will suffer disproportionately, to a prestige house for sale in the right area like Hale.”
Clive moved to his house for sale in Hale 20 years ago and the big question then was where to buy property. In his case, it was answered with his purchase in Hale. However Clive remembers well, that within a few months of him moving into his prestige house for sale in Parkhill Road Hale in 1988, the government removed the old MIRAS 3 tax relief scheme which, in his opinion, precipitated the biggest house price crash and sustained slump in real estate values ever. Negative equity was truly born and yet, Clive recalls the prices in Hale were the last to be affected. In Cheshire, they maintained their level through the worst of this period and also the luxury house for sale in Hale was one of the first to benefit from property price rises in the North West region.
“I know the question where to buy property is always an issue not too far from lips of investors and private purchasers alike. Hale, in Altrincham Cheshire and the proverbial “Cheshire jet set” is safe, from the ravages of current times,” Clive feels.
The historical prestige house for sale in the area of Hale and its golden triangle cousins of Wilmslow and Prestbury remain bullet proof from any house price crash. There are many other reasons that answer the question where to buy property and why Hale, in particular. The answer to this usually revolves around schools, leisure facilities and infrastructure, which are simply the best in Cheshire.
Clive finally adds: “History is very important and as much as the so called house price crash is very much on the cards for certain areas, history also tells us that Hale will remain one of those unique golden areas that, as in the last crash, will buck the market.”
